Come join a fast growing progressive engineering and manufacturing team at Diversified Heat Transfer, Inc. as a Sales Applications Engineer.
The Sales Applications Engineer is responsible for selecting/designing products to meet customer's requirements (including all design, functionality, material, and test requirements) from the customer's specification as well as the cost targets established during the proposal stage of our product lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Pre/Post Engineering sales support
• Sales/Rep Support- Quoting, sizing selections, costing
• Periodic interaction required with other engineers and as well as contractors and customers.
• Prepare and revise detail and design drawings.
• Drafting- Simple revisions to existing drawings may be assigned
• Participate in team meetings in creating and maintaining project timelines and action items through implementation.
• Purchasing Support when necessary
• Tech Support- Startup of products at client sites when necessary
• Work closely with engineering team in designing and applying the method of assigning part numbers when necessary
• Site visits to customers as necessary
• Special team projects as assigned
• Travel: occasional up to 10%
QUALIFICATIONS
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Solid Works is preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in mechanical engineering (or 1 year professional experience with a 4 year technical engineering degree)
• Knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic controls
• Solid analytical skills are required: heat transfer, fluid flow, control theory
• Ability to resolve performance, durability, and safety issues
• Knowledge of machining operations, welding, and brazing (preferred)
• Must work precisely, accurately, and with close attention to all details, possess excellent communication skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Work requires use of conventional drafting techniques and software with a working knowledge of thermal design software (in HVAC, Plumbing and Manufacturing a plus)
• Ability to work with customers, sales, and engineers on designs and fabrication of HVAC, plumbing and heat exchanger equipment
