We are seeking a motivated, results-oriented college student to join our team for the summer of 2023. The Carrier internship experience offers interns an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy.
As a Manufacturing Engineer intern you will gain experience including, but not limited to activities and tasks listed below:
Videotape the processes and upload them into Timer Pro. Create work instructions and standard work.
Present findings and lessons learned to management at the end of the internship.
Assist in gathering and analyzing manufacturing-related issues/improvements.
Design tooling or processes to improve safety, ergonomics, and increase manufacturing productivity
Works with the Manufacturing Engineering department to create, review and update procedures
PROJECTS:
Videotape the processes and upload them into Timer Pro
Identifying and documenting value added and non-value-added activities in the assembly processes
Conduct Ergonomic assessment
Assist with weld fixture improvements
Analyze weld defect data and determine the opportunity of improvements
Introduction to the programming of robots
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Self-driven and proactive
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Team player and willing to collaborate with others on projects

EDUCATION
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study
GPA must be greater than or equal to a 3.0 GPA
Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred
