Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Development Program
WHO WE ARE:
Whether we’re building the world’s most efficient large aero-engine or supporting NASA missions on the edge of space, Rolls-Royce is all about innovation. We invest over $1 billion every year into research and development and pioneer cutting edge technology. Working at Rolls-Royce means being part of a global team of around 50,000 bold, curious people, creating cleaner, faster, more competitive power. It means looking to the future, and shaping the world we live in.
THE PROGRAM:
Designing world-leading power systems is one thing. Seeing them through to fruition is something else entirely. And that’s where our Manufacturing Engineering team comes in. Join our Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Development Program, and you’ll have a vital role to play in delivering our customer promises, and achieving the most rigorous standards. Life in this team is about continually developing processes, acquiring capabilities, and exploiting technologies that will keep us at the forefront of global manufacturing. Drawing on your practical mindset and relentlessly inquisitive nature, you’ll help to transform ideas into physical products, and our significant order book into profitable reality. You’ll ensure we can continue to pioneer the power that matters.
Our Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Development Program will prepare you for a career like no other and you can expect to gain an end-to-end knowledge of manufacturing engineering. That knowledge will be gained as you work on live projects for three, multi-month placements within our teams who introduce new products, develop and implement new technology, and focus on continuously improving products and processes. In addition to these placements you will partner with your fellow graduates to deliver your own design and manufacturing project, working to solve a real business issue.
Our goal is to provide experiences that provide breadth of exposure to the many facets of manufacturing engineering and internal networks from shop floor to management to help you navigate exciting and purposeful career opportunities. Through coaching, mentoring, and training with both our best technical and business leaders, you will develop the necessary technical and behavioral skills to leverage a toolbox of experiences, skills, and leadership for success and growth.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Manufacturing Engineering places a big focus on teamwork. So, you can expect to collaborate with great minds in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You would take on real responsibility as you introduce major pieces of equipment, develop efficiency-improving manufacturing systems, or tackle continuity threats. Or you would be integrating activity for manufacturing launch plans, helping our suppliers develop more efficient methodologies and introducing new materials specifications. It’s complex and challenging work that will get your career off to a great start.
