Operates a multi-unit gas processing facility. Provides rotating, after-hours and weekend coverage. Performs all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and government requirements. As a team member, this person will also assist in other Maintenance, Engineering and EH&S related activities. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following: Monitor operating variables and keep within normal range to ensure a safe and efficient operation. Maintain communications with co-worker in all departments. Provide detailed verbal relief with other shifts. Inspect and PM all equipment in assigned area. Complete unit readings forms and communicates all equipment problems to Operations Manager. Perform minor mechanical and/or maintenance activities. Depressuring, draining, flushing, steaming and purging of equipment. Issue permits in process areas. Oversee the preparation of process equipment for maintenance. Perform the required activities to control the unit during normal and abnormal operation and assists in the prevention and correction of all operational issues. Inspect and lubricate as required of mechanical equipment. Review and sign off the Shift Log and Shift Order log book. Perform tank and containment inspections for the Environmental department. Review and perform Standard Operating Procedures. Follow safe working procedures and adhere to safe practices in assigned areas. Inventory all chemicals, operations supplies and product inventories. Troubleshoot process equipment. Participate on the Emergency Management Organization team. Approve work orders in the maintenance management system. Participate in promoting good housekeeping practices. Communicate with outside vendors and customers. Perform other duties as assigned. PROCESS AREAS COVERED include, but not limited to the following: Instrument Air System Cooling Tower & Treatment Steam System & Treatment Wastewater Treating Fire Water System Flare System Sulfur Recovery System Onsite/Offsite Metering Inlet Gas Treating Storage & Utility Systems Stabilizer Merichem Unit Inlet Gas Compression Inlet Gas Dehydration Cryogenic Unit Hydrogen Purification Unit Ethane/Ethylene Treating Propane/Propylene Treating Butanes Treating Regeneration/Startup Heaters Propane Refrigeration System Ethylene Refrigeration System EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or equivalent. Trade school, formal training/significant work experience or associate degree highly preferred. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Current valid driver's license required COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have quality verbal and written communication skills. COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to outside weather conditions, which could range from cold to hot, humid conditions. Walking on uneven terrain is often required during normal work duties. High noise areas may be encountered. Requires climbing ladders and working at elevated heights. At all times proper PPE must be used in work areas.
