Position Title:Associate Commercial Manager Reports To:Senior Commercial Manager Segment:Mars Petcare Family:Operations Function:Commercial Location:Franklin, TN (FTN/BRN) Job Level:T1 Level of Role Individual Contributor Number of Reports No direct reports Purpose of Role The role is responsible for developing and executing supply chain strategies primarily for the delivery of material to the Mars Petcare N.A. sites and third party facilities by partnering with the Strategic Sourcing Managers at Mars Petcare N.A. Secondary responsibilities include the oversight of material supply chains with regards to process adherence and improvement. The position is accountable for exploring opportunities to recommend and execute supply chain optimization strategies. The role operates in a pet friendly, open office environment supporting natural pet nutrition. Principal Accountabilities -Manage and develop the logistics pipeline for material to Mars Petcare N.A. sites, co-manufacturers, and third party facilities. -Interface between Sourcing Managers suppliers and supply chain operations -Manage operational Quality & Supplier issues. Own the supplier logistics relationship for material, including communication of material requirements and management of supplier performance. -Drive and leverage suppliers capabilities to reduce Mars TCO in the supply chain. -Define and execute Inventory reduction opportunities across the entire network. -Negotiate and contract one off purchases as needed for business continuity. -Responsible for ensuring the delivery of business results in the following key areas for domestic materials: -Deliver Growth Innovation- New Product Launches, Supplier Performance, and Speed to Market -Total Delivered Cost Reduction -Working Capital/Cash Management Strategies -Inventory Optimization -Sustainability -Demonstrate a quality culture in actions, words and spirit.
