POSITION SUMMARY Collect and analyze samples, inspect and manage finish product stockpiles, work with production and load out teams to ensure quality compliance in a crushed limestone quarry. Assist with management of screen media inventory and production records. This is a night shift position, typical schedule will be Monday Friday, 5:00pm 3:00am, with two (2) weekend nights per month. Schedule may changes depending on need. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Participate and encourage participation in plant safety program and company safety culturePerform aggregate sieve analysis and washed minus #200 dailyPerform unit weight, linear shrinkage, sand equivalent and other tests as requiredReport results through Quality Control (Q.C.) software and by written correspondenceCommunicate and work with production team to make plant process corrections to maintain consistent quality of products within TXDOT specifications, and other agenciesPerform other duties as assigned by supervisor (Plant Manager or QC Manager)Report directly to District or Division QC Manager.MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent1-2 years previous job experience in similar industry preferredValid Texas drivers license KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESEffective communication skills (written and verbal)Basic computer data input skills.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)Ability to read, understand, and follow test procedures and instructionsThis position requires basic math skills including working knowledge of percentages, ratios, and statisticsMust be able to work a flexible schedule, possible weekends, overtime, and holidays as needed PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work outdoors, in elevated areas, and lift and carry 50 lb. samplesWORKING CONDITIONSThere will be times when outside assignments may require periods of work in all weather conditions-heat, cold, wet or dry and dusty.
