Who will you be working with?
You will be part of the Materials and Inventory team, working closely with production leaders, buyers, suppliers, and warehouse personnel to ensure materials are available, properly stored, and delivered to production in a timely manner. This role partners with Quality, Inventory Control, and Manufacturing teams to support production schedules, material flow, and inventory accuracy.
How will you make the difference
As a Materials Controller , you will play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations by ensuring material availability, inventory accuracy, and efficient stockroom operations. You will be responsible for pulling material directly from suppliers and/or warehouses, ordering and expediting material deliveries, and maintaining accurate inventory records. Your work will directly impact production efficiency, quality, and compliance with planning and safety standards. Support the production team by producing materials to the correct locations, collaborating with other departments to resolve inventory and shipping and receiving discrepancies.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree or technical certificate in logistics, supply chain, or a related field preferred
Minimum 2+ years of experience in materials control, inventory management, stockroom, warehouse, or manufacturing support roles
Experience pulling material, ordering parts, and expediting deliveries in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); ERP experience (Oracle or similar systems) required
Forklift and overhead hoist operation experience preferred (or willingness to become certified)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of inventory control, cycle counting, and material flow
Ability to read and follow planning instructions, work orders, and written/oral procedures
Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Commitment to safe work practices and quality standards
What will your typical day look like?
Control the inventory coming to the parts room
Ensure proper materials flow and allocation
Perform all duties of a shop general as required
Pull material directly from suppliers, warehouses, and internal stockrooms
Order and expedite material deliveries to support production schedules
Receive, move, stock, and organize materials within designated storage areas
Maintain physical stockrooms using 5S principles (organization, cleanliness, labeling)
Perform inventory control activities, including cycle counting and discrepancy resolution
Conduct ERP transactions and maintain accurate inventory data
Operate forklifts and overhead hoists in accordance with safety requirements
Ensure quality of work performed by following prescribed methods, quality standards, and planning instructions
Communicate material shortages, delays, and issues to appropriate stakeholders
Follow all safety procedures, including PPE requirements and equipment inspections
Perform other related duties as assigned

The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
