Maxim is seeking equipment engineer Interns to provide support to our silicon wafer fab during a 12-week summer assignment at our factory in Beaverton, Oregon. The role is to execute on various projects aimed at optimizing the performance of manufacturing equipment for analog/mixed-signal silicon device fabrication. Typical responsibilities include: Designing, prototyping, and deploying equipment upgrades Analyzing statistical process control (SPC) module data Analyzing cycle time and equipment availability/utilization metrics Monitoring the health of the tools and ensuring high quality Characterizing and driving tool performance matching Assisting in troubleshooting process equipment failures Qualification of new tools, new raw materials, and new consumable parts E-mail Resume T o : university.relations@maximintegrated.com with the job type (entry level/Intern), title and location in the subject line. Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering or related fields Demonstrated aptitude for hands-on electrical troubleshooting and repair Minimum GPA of 3.5 for undergraduate and graduate-level coursework Preferred Qualifications Experience with maintaining and upgrading process or laboratory equipment. Experience with robotics, motors, PCB troubleshooting and/or design, vacuum systems, pneumatic systems, PLC programming. Superb computer and math skills, including statistics.
