JOB TITLE: Field Service Engineer – Bolting Technician

LOCATION: Orange, TX

SUMMARY

The Power and Oil & Gas market in the Americas offers substantial growth opportunities, especially in North America, for Hydratight’s range of product and services.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide on-site manual, hydraulic torque and tensioning services
• Use of controlled bolt tightening procedures in accordance with calculated and/or engineering provided bolt load pressure to ensure proper seal of flange
• Adheres to safe and specified standards, completing all required documentation
• Adheres to all Hydratight and site related procedures and polices including work permits and proper use of PPE and other equipment
• Complies with specific task requirements including ability to identify potential hazards through the use of risk assessment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with a sense of on-site ingenuity to rectify problems with equipment and/or difficult situations
• Maintains company quality, safety and environmental standards and policies
• Interface with client in a professional manner representing Hydratight to the highest standard at all times
• Accurate and timely completion and submission of all job related documentation including QA-QC forms

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Ability to scope, troubleshoot and execute project to required specifications with support from service center
• Understanding of decimal, fraction and basic mathematical calculations
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and adopt quickly to change
• Ability to read blueprint or isometric drawings is a plus
• Computer literate

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma, equivalent or military experience
• Experience operating hydraulically powered torque wrenches and tensioning tools without hands on supervision is required
• Minimum 2 years of experience is required
• Possess Basic Plus and/or OSHA 10
• Active Nuclear clearance is a bonus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs
• Must be able to work from elevated platforms

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Must be able to perform work in all weather conditions
• Refineries / Chemical Plants / Pipeline / Offshore
