    BUSINESS CONTRIBUTION:

    Production Manager – The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling the manufacturing processes for assigned products produced, as well as providing daily direction, scheduling, technical leadership and support to ensure that currently defined processes meet or exceed the target goals in terms of Safety (HSSE), Quality, Delivery and Cost.  Lead incremental improvements initiatives to optimize existing processes through LEAD (Lean Enterprise Across Disciplines) activities.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Implements and maintains safety standards (HSSE) as required by law and company policy
    • Ensures all quality standards and requirements are met (including regulatory compliance)
    • Manages customer delivery dates to meet or exceed delivery of customer orders as promised
    • Establishes, maintains and continually improves the standard of performance for the operation
    • Develops, analyses, and presents reports, including but not limited to forecasts, productivity, and safety reports
    • Ensures that the manufacturing principles are in line with the company’s vision and priorities
    • Takes accountability for manufacturing goals and objectives
    • Plans and monitors capacity maximization, OEE, and lead time reduction opportunities
    • Drives improvement action(s) to meet manufacturing quality
    • Manages a high-performance team and helps employees achieve their full potential by selecting, coaching, developing, and training team members.
    • Develops, monitors, and implements departmental budgets and production forecasts.
    • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

    KEY RELATIONSHIPS:

    The SITE LEADER will be the go to person for PRODUCTION MANAGER – key network will include:

    • Director of Operations
    • Production Manager - Anacortes
    • Quality Manager

     

    REQUIRED CAPABILITIES (DESCRIBE SCOPE OF KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY OF THE POSITION):

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or equivalent.  Applicable work experience will offset formal education requirement.
    • Minimum of 7 years of supervising or leading a team
    • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and motivate others
    • Ability to identify potential issues and proactively recommend and implement solutions
    • Ability to make autonomous decisions based on thorough understanding business objectives
    • Ability to work collaboratively with other functions
    • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines
    • Experience managing budgets and working within specified departmental/company processes

    PREFERRED CAPABILITIES (DESCRIBE SCOPE OF KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY OF THE POSITION):

    • Prior Value Stream Business Model experience a plus
    • Understanding of production planning and master scheduling
    • Prior project based engineer-to-order manufacturing environment versus assembly
