    Carrier is looking for Engineering, Mechanical and/or Systems Engineering majors with passion for Sustainability and Innovation. We are looking for people that feel comfortable with some ambiguity and want to solve technical problems. Do you have a strong academic performance? You are right for our engineering summer internship. Our internship provides an opportunity to deliver impactful contributions to strategic projects through 10-12 weeks of appointment.

    Should you be selected, our commitment to you is to provide front-line, hands-on, meaningful assignments designed to stretch your capabilities andaccelerateyourprofessional development. In addition to the hands-on experience, you will receive high-caliber training, mentorship, and guidance from our diverse team of Carrier executives and program alumni to build a strong and lasting global network of colleagues.

    We will select the right work for you, based on your interests and capabilities, options include:

    • Literature study on emerging technologies including disruptive air conditioning systems, alternative cycles, use of natural refrigerants, and/or carbon capture

    • Simple thermodynamic cycle analysis, and/or lifecycle and techno-economic analysis of new cycles, or existing cycles with new working fluids; or carbon capture technologies

    • Hands-on design of experiments and testing of new prototypes of Carrier integrated equipment

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Proactive and results-driven; thrives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

    • Excellent analytical and communication skills

    • Demonstrated technical skills in engineering. Besides mechanical engineering, knowledge of disciplines that include system engineering, data analytics, AI, system modeling and simulations, operations and manufacturing, and cost-benefit analysis are a plus.

    • Relevant internships or co-op experiences within engineering functions

    EDUCATION

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or STEM-related field. Mechanical or systems engineering or related is preferred.

    • Strong academic performance, GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.5 GPA (3.7 Preferred)
