This individual will support the development and implementation of projects across Ovarian, Breast cancers, and other life cycle indications and products. As a Summer Intern Specialist, you should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive experience utilizing PowerPoint, Word and Excel. You should have an interest in the Oncology pharmaceutical field and have some marketing or sales experience or have taken courses relevant to the position. While working as a Summer Intern Specialist, you will work closely with the marketing team and other cross-functional teams in the preparation and delivery of various marketing tactics, projects and conferences to support the strategic marketing plans. Primary responsibilities and projects include the following: -Assist marketing team in ASCO congress preparation. Work to include but not limited to workshops and competitive simulations based on market events. -Help identify key market events and raise/prepare cross functional team. -Work across cross-functional team providing MSD Markets with a promotional framework and resources for go-to--market launches for a key oncology product. -Work as a key contributor to the competitive landscape project. -Provide Profit Plan support in preparation for 2019 brand planning, synergies and integration. -ESMO Workshop support and other congress material. -Research and provide a review of the competitive landscape for product Lifecycle Indications. -Assist with project management of Commercial Launch Team meetings including agenda, slide preparation and follow up. -Participate in weekly Staff Meetings. -Assist marketing team with organization and management of relevant conferences & conference materials. -Seek and analyze competitor marketing and sales materials, as needed. -Prepare presentations and key outputs on project.Qualifications Education: -Candidates must be currently pursuing a Bachelors Degree in business or other related field. Required: -Candidates must be returning to school after completing his internship in fall of 2019. -Candidates should be able to work full time for 9-12 weeks during the summer of 2019. -Experience and success in cross-functional collaboration. -Strong knowledge of marketing and/or business principles. -Astute business decision, analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into a recommendation. -Must have excellent interpersonal skills and follow-up skills. -Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook. -Strong verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred: -Prior Experience in pharmaceutical setting (e.g., Marketing, Market Access functions) or Specialty/Oncology business. -Organizational and project management skills. -The ability to prioritize in a changing environment. -Marketing background or business education preferred.
