As a postdoctoral fellow in Translational Molecular Biomarkers Mass Spectrometry, you will work with a highly collaborative team of scientists to design, develop and validate a multiplexed immuno-affinity mass spectrometry based assay to simultaneously quantify immune checkpoint and related proteins and apply this assay to clinical studies to investigate the effect of anti-cancer therapies in Mercks oncology pipeline. This work will enable better understandings of the mechanism of action of anti-cancer therapies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: -Conducting immuno-affinity mass spectrometry on whole blood and PBMC to develop a multiplexed protein quantitation method. -Evaluate antibody-based fractionation and isolation of cells. -Analysis of samples from clinical studies. -Data interpretation, manuscript preparation, publication and presentation of results. -Contribute to a safe and compliant laboratory work environment. mrlpostdoc Qualifications Education Minimum Requirement: -A PhD with less than (3) years of postdoctoral experience OR graduating with a PhD by summer of 2019. Required Experience and Skills: -Ability to design experiments, interpret and track results, and use this information to enable assay development. -Skilled in the use of mass spectrometry for the analysis of peptides and proteins. -Experience in analysis of biological matrices. -Experience in protein separation procedures. Preferred Experience and Skills: -QQQ Quantitative Mass Spectrometry. -Immuno-affinity mass spectrometry. -Immunology or Oncology research. -Biomarkers.
