Merck Research Lab is currently recruiting for a Summer Intern towork with Global Clinical Trial Operations (GCTO) for the Global Site Budgetsand Payments Team. GCTO is a global organization operating in over 50countries and is responsible to deliver Merck's diverse development portfoliocomprising over 200 clinical trials in compliance with global and localregulations. The Global Site Budgets and Payments team is responsible fordeveloping and executing global investigator site budgets and executing sitepayments across all therapeutic areas. The intern will engage with the Global Site Budget andPayments leadership team and general staffing team members for participation inand/or leading projects that support this space in driving the efficient andethical conduct of clinical trials across the region. Activities mayinclude (but are not limited to): + Assist with routine trial initiation deliverables, including global site budgets, Fair Market Value (FMV) assessment and site payments. + In collaboration with the site budget development tool System Administrator, support the global site budget development tool and processes + Support departmental initiatives in order to ensure compliance with processes including metric reporting and quality assurance inspections + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support continuous process improvement and compliance Thisis a full- time internship position. Housing subsidy is not available aspart of this program and must be funded 100% by the student. FTP2019FTPMRL2019 Education: Required: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a full-time BS/BAdegree program in a financial or science-related discipline. Required Experience andSkills: + Candidates must be available to work full-time for up to (12) weeks beginning in May or June of 2019. + Candidates must have completed at least (2) yearsof collegiate study by June of 2019. Preferred Experience and Skills: + Candidates should have computer skills including proficiency in aspects of data analysis and presentationsoftware, Microsoft Word, Access and Excel.
