As a Product Engineer Intern at Micron Technology, Inc., within the NVE SSD Product Engineering group, you will be responsible for taking solid state drives from design to high volume manufacturing. This will involve firmware test and validation, performance characterization, manufacturing support and customer support. You will also be responsible for improving performance, improving testability, and identifying NAND reliability issues. Other areas of responsibility include electrical and physical failure analysis, implementation of new device qualifications, characterization development, and yield evaluation/improvement. This role may present future opportunities for Product Lead or Group Manager Positions. - Responsibilities may include: - Characterize the design of SSD product to assure component to component timing, voltage, and noise margin in all customer use environments - Develop Firmware to enable features and functionality to SSD products - Utilize oscilloscopes, network analyzers, bus analyzers, and firmware emulators to conduct tests. - Develop automated test scripts to perform the characterization testing which align to the standards used by all design sites - Report and document all work in the development repository - Perform product failure analysis of Validation test bed failures - Learn and work collaboratively on site in Longmont, Colorado - Developing validation scripts with languages such as C, C++ or Python Requirements: Junior year through Masters Student encouraged to apply: Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering About Us As the leader in innovative memory solutions, Micron is helping the world make sense of data by delivering technology that is transforming how the world uses information.
