The MBA/Graduate Summer Intern (Market Access) will be is responsible for executing specific programs and project work to help expand access to RADICAVA® (edaravone) to patients, physicians and payers. This position will have significant involvement with other functional areas such as payers, field reimbursement, medical, marketing, and public relations at Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America Headquarters in Jersey City, New Jersey. This position is a summer internship that will last approximately 10 12 weeks. This position offers an extraordinary opportunity for individuals interested in building experience in commercialization for Orphan Drug and Specialty Markets, therapeutic areas with high unmet needs, while working with a cross-functional team rich in exceptional talent. Responsibilities Develop payer marketing and other related market access projects for RADICAVA® (edaravone) in the US and Canada. Execute project plan seamlessly to meet or exceed project objectives.Develop reimbursement materials for customers and the Field Reimbursement team.Development of Patient Services/Reimbursement Services for providers, patients and caregivers including co-pay programs, for Part B /buy& bill therapy.Responsible for promotional review committee approval of all reimbursement, patient services, distribution materials and messages within market access.Manage vendors key for the development of all Market Access strategic operations including,Participate in a world-class team to ensure Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma America is recognized as among the industrys best. Work with cross functional teams to create effective, positive partnerships with peers and key internal/ external stakeholders and ensure alignment with key stakeholders.Leverage existing business knowledge from MBA coursework to advance the companys internal effectiveness and efficiency. Ensure that all activities are in compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. Analyze business opportunities to either save money or improve revenue performance. Proactively seek out and evaluate new best practices and identify/incorporate industry best practices.Develop key analyses and presentations for senior leadership and other stakeholders in support of driving access opportunities and commercialization planning. .Final presentation will be given to senior leadership (Vice President and President) discussing key project and/or lessons learned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree required.Current pursuit of MBA or Graduate degree in progress.Understands fundamentals of product promotion.Recent relevant coursework related to payers, pharmaceutical/healthcare business or marketing.General knowledge of commercial agreements and intellectual property issues. Leads by example, displaying integrity, collaboration, accessibility, adaptability, sound judgment/decision making, and an entrepreneurial, solutions-oriented attitude. Demonstrates responsiveness, attention to detail, and follow-through coupled with ability to prioritize/multi-task effectively.Use analytical/strategic skills to synthesize complex information, distill critical insights to inform commercial assessments, and translate to tactical level.Outstanding business case development skills, financial acumen and budget management skills.Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills. Highly proficient in MS Office; skilled at using Excel to develop quantitative analyses.Working knowledge and understanding of the Pharma industry, and related regulatory, commercialization and compliance requirements is strongly preferred.
