    Job Description

    Moen has a new opening for our Global Category Sourcing Specialist who will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and will work within our Sourced Product team to execute our Sourcing strategy. This position will work predominately to support the Sourcing needs for our New Product Supply Chain.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage an annual turnover in spend, assist in creating and implementing category strategies and scoping and executing projects for productivity enhancement

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve strategic initiatives by improving supplier performance through the utilization of Global Plumbing Group’s (GPG) supplier scorecard and the development of continuous improvement action plans as required

    • Ensure suppliers comply with Global Plumbing Group’s code-of-conduct program (e.g., Global Citizenship, Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct)

    • Support the implementation and sustainability of GPG’s Risk Management program—understand supplier capabilities, financial health, operational performance and impact to GPG business

    • Proactively perform data maintenance as required to successfully run monthly reports, and assist team with creating corrective actions where gaps exist in metrics

    • Under the guidance and direction of the Department, execute product life cycle management and capability/capacity enhancement

    • Under the guidance of the Manager, lead projects to resource, award components to support sourcing strategies while ensuring all project milestone tasks are completed on-time

    • Act as lead for New Product introductions, provide support for RFQ, Supplier selection, negotiations, issue Purchase orders for Design Validation (DV) to PPAP.

    • Collaborate with functional areas such as: Master Scheduling, Planning, Manufacturing plants, Distribution Centers and external suppliers to ensure customer expectations are met

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain or Engineering is required

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a global sourcing, planning or purchasing environment is required

    • Prior project management experience is preferred

    • ISM or ASCM certification is a plus

    • Working knowledge of ERP, Microsoft Office Suites

    • General knowledge and understanding of relevant manufacturing processes

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • Must be able to travel up to 20% of the time (domestically and internationally) for supplier visits, business audits, and overall commodity education
