    Job Description

    ** What will the candidate learn through this internship?**

    Real-world hands-on experience in a fast-paced corporate Global Brand environment. An understanding of communications functions including: product naming, legal search, copywriting, editing, product commercialization, trade shows, customer-facing events, branding, cross-collaboration (internally and vendor management), social media, video/photography and strategic planning. Networking and cross-functional intern meetings allow for additional growth opportunities and understanding of other corporate disciplines.

    Responsibilities

    • Gain an understanding of basic marketing communications, product launches and strategic planning.
    • Attend and support launch planning meetings with Commercialization Managers/Brand Execution Team
    • Conduct necessary follow-ups on commercialization projects; may include Product and Engineering team members and agency partners regarding updates and changes to their respective projects; impacts to asset creation (knockouts, photo, video, etc.) or merchandising due to sample timing; agency interfacing on projects that impact product launch
    • Help execute 2023/2024 asset creation / launch tactics by interfacing with Product, Brand, Commercialization, Digital and Agency partners (other disciplines as required based on launch e.g. Industrial Design, Engineering, Project Management, Finance, etc.)
    • Support, schedule and organize cross-functional 2024 launch meetings to update stakeholders on the timing and status of commercialization plans (e.g. messaging, assets, shows, literature, training, etc.) to assure alignment across Creative X, Brand, Channel, Social, Moen.com, Digital and agency partners
    • Research main competitors as part of product launches across social media, professional sites, collecting literature, etc. as needed for strategic planning, master messaging and new platform creation, competitive selling charts, etc.
    • Conduct research and/or co-ordination for promo support of events and shows (premiums, wearables, give-aways, literature, digital support, surveys, etc.)
    • Proofread and manage revisions to commercialization tactics (master messaging, training, literature, etc.)
    • Forecasting: create Purchase Orders and process within SAP to meet Brand Execution budget commitments monthly

    Qualifications

    • Actively enrolled in a College or University program working towards a Bachelor's degree in a relevant business major
    • Must be able to work as an intern from May 1 – Dec 31, 2023 (FT during the summer & PT during the school semesters) term. The hourly schedule is flexible based on semester availability.
    • Candidate must be able to work at our HQ in North Olmsted, OH, in person, Tuesday-Thursday. This is not a remote position.
    • Demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
    • Be well-organized, highly dependable, efficient, and detail-oriented to manage across projects and deadlines
    • Ability to collaborate and work with various levels of the organization
    • Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, EXCEL, Word, and Outlook).
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, SAP and/or Digital Asset Management systems a plus
