  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    ** Responsibilities**

    • Effectively operate, inspect and maintain 2 or more machines in any two class of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) at 80% productivity
    • Complete independent measurements using complex gauging as well as calculating stackups
    • Set shaves, thread rolls, chases, mill cutters, recesses and roller supports in any one class of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) as well as make tool changes and adjustments on machines in another class
    • Effectively complete change overs and attachment settings for complex family jobs on any one class of machines (Screw, Rotary, Davenport) and perform simple part families in another class of machines
    • Complete regular preventative maintenance on machines, including reset stops and change rollers
    • Perform basic troubleshooting when machine problems occur and resolve issues independently
    • Pull schedules for work centers and run attainment reports
    • Operate crane, including properly loading/unloading material on saddles and/or machines
    • Preset basic tooling for production machines
    • Maintain accurate record keeping
    • Maintain clean and orderly work area and tool zone
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. A bidder must successfully complete any job-related assessments required.

    • High school diploma or equivalent is required
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and maintaining automatic machines
    • Must be able to read and understand blue prints, as well as positional tolerance
    • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude as well as the ability to use measuring instruments and gauges accurately
    • Ability to read and understand procedures, work instructions and other production documentation
    • Must have advanced math skills (calculate angles and stack ups)
    • Must be able to effectively communicate technical knowledge and information
    • Must become lock-out tag-out certified within 1 year
    • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lb load
    • No disciplinary write-ups in the last 6 months
    • Have less than two (2) incidents under the attendance policy
    • Demonstrated positive work history through performance reviews
    • Must be able to pass applicable assessments
