Echologics is currently searching for a Field Specialist for our Singapore location to help execute projects related to pipe condition assessment and pipe leak detection. The successful candidate will participate in a broad range of projects primarily within Singapore, with the possibility for travel within the Asia Pacific region.

This position will involve a mix of field testing, administrative, data analysis, and reporting with client management duties. Daily field site travel will be required within Singapore. Most of the work will be outdoors, conducting leak detection and condition assessment tests on water pipelines, with analysis and reporting duties between deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform permanent leak detection equipment installations

• Project logistics planning and coordination

• Manage and maintain equipment QA/QC and inventories

• Conducting leak detection surveys of distribution water mains

• Supporting transmission main leak detection studies

• Supporting condition assessment measurements on distribution mains

• Conduct flow meter installation, maintenance, and readings

• Perform pressure meter installation, maintenance and readings

• Report writing including data analysis

• Work in compliance with the Mueller Water Products Code of Conduct and all Environmental, Health and Safety regulations.

• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

• Experience performing hands-on outdoor work
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history
• Multilingual requirement: fluency in English and at least one of the commonly used languages used in Singapore
• Diploma holder or NITEC graduate with 1-3 years’ relevant work experience

The following experience and qualifications would be assets in this position:

• Demonstrated ability to problem solve technical issues and work independently
• Desire for a field based position with hands-on work
• Familiarity with water distribution systems, or experience in utility industries
• Experience in leak detection of water systems
• Some knowledge and experience of the measurement of pressure and flow in water pipes
• Experience with field use of testing equipment, such as surveying, sample collection, underground utility locating, GPS, etc.
