Here's how this role will help: * Support initiatives, including enhancing legal staff awareness and understanding of significant legal cases relevant to pharmaceutical patents. * Research and follow pending patent cases. * Draft summaries of pending litigation and update as necessary. * Draft summaries of recent court decisions relevant to pharmaceutical patents and related regulatory issues. * Assist with drafting and editing of patent applications as needed. * Review and summarize patent opinions from outside counsel. * Check project IP summaries for accuracy and clarity. * Assist in IP due diligence efforts for mergers, acquisitions as necessary. Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position: * Must possess knowledge of basic organic chemistry; some knowledge of basic patent law is preferred. * Must possess excellent written and spoken English skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. * Must possess the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be able to handle confidential information in compliance with company policy. * The successful candidate will have preferably completed a minimum of their sophomore year and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in a Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmacology, Pharmacy or Law degree program or a related field of study. A candidate actively pursuing a Doctorate in Pharmacy or a Juris Doctorate is strongly preferred. A minimum 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred; however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Why Mylan?
