The ideal candidate will display critical thinking skills, knowledge or experience of biochemical laboratory practices and methods, combined with science-based coursework. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to utilize basic laboratory tools and equipment, has strong communication skills and the ability to keep accurate laboratory records. Special preference for candidates with laboratory research and/or hands-on immunoassay experience. The selected candidate will work under the direction of senior staff for development and improvement of food safety diagnostic assays working from the Lansing, MI Corporate location. Education and/or Experience: Associates degree, junior or senior year students in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology and bio systems engineering or associated principles in four-year college or university. Summary: Position will learn a variety of duties to give the intern an opportunity to learn a range of responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.
