    R&D Intern It's fun to work in a company where people truly believe in what they are doing! The Food Safety Division is currently seeking a candidate for a Research & Development Intern position. The ideal candidate will display critical thinking skills, knowledge or experience of biochemical laboratory practices and methods, combined with science-based coursework. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to utilize basic laboratory tools and equipment, has strong communication skills and the ability to keep accurate laboratory records. Special preference for candidates with laboratory research and/or hands-on immunoassay experience. The selected candidate will work under the direction of senior staff for development and improvement of food safety diagnostic assays working from the Lansing, MI Corporate location. Education and/or Experience: Associates degree, junior or senior year students in biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, microbiology and bio systems engineering or associated principles in four-year college or university. Summary: Position will learn a variety of duties to give the intern an opportunity to learn a range of responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following.     • Assist the department in day to day activities * Adhere to Neogen guidelines in daily activities * Provide support for other departmental projects as directed by Supervisor Education and/or Experience: Must have High School Diploma. Should be pursuing a 4-year college degree, preference given to those exploring a degree.
