ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Basic transportation knowledge and ability to learn transportation related business requirements
- Apply knowledge to distinguish appropriate data analytics to forward think business strategy
- Ability to quickly learn and work within company and third-party operating systems to effectively maximize its usage, manage shipments, and extrapolate appropriate data for business review
- Investigate controllable cost drivers within unwarranted freight spend associated with expedites, returns, and damage
- Strong analytical skills: ability and wherewithal to identify cost drivers and deep dive into root cause
- Ability to analyze data and offer freight comparisons with opportunity
- Ability to recognize gaps in required data collections and effectively manage a bridge to its availability
- Develop and utilize performance metrics (KPI’s) for reporting to management, continuous improvement, and deliver measurable gains to freight, compliance, cost, and service
- Analyze carrier performance (service and spend) and participate in carrier reviews
- Identify solutions, recommend, and follow-through to task completion
- In transit issues resolution and shipment management
- Assist with the audit and resolution of invoicing disputes
- Work with warehouse team / ship doc to coordinate proper shipping documentation and order process flow
- Complete all required training applicable to assigned position
- Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, logistics, or supply chain preferred.
- 1 + years of experience in logistics or supply chain.
- Equivalent work experience or education related to essential functions listed above
- Advanced in MS Office Suite
- Impelled to achieve without higher-level supervision
- SAP knowledge a plus
