Nidec Minster Corporation is currently seeking Mechanical Engineering Co-ops who are looking to advance their knowledge by gaining hands-on work experience. Job responsibilities will primarily consist of CAD drawings, documenting designs, and problem solving in a team environment under the mentorship of an experienced engineer. Some travel may be required, including occasional travel to trouble-shoot press systems in our customer's plants. Typical tasks may include : Create and revise 3D models and associated 2D drawings as required. Appropriately document specifications for any purchased item which may be needed. Research press history, and execute any necessary calculations required to answer both internal and external customer requests. Maintain accurate press records, both drawings and BOM's, based on aftermarket upgrades. Assist with any questions originating from the manufacturing environment (foundry, weld shop, machine shop, assembly). The Mechanical Engineering co-op will work closely with full time Mechanical Engineers and gain more responsibility as experience and skills progress.
