    Job Description

    SUMMARY: Provides assurance of accuracy on sales promotions in the trade promotion management system for a given territory. Maintains the Aging Report for the territory assigned at the level set forth by management. Assists the Accounting Department by performing Accounts Receivable functions such as, cash applications and collections. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS – JOB DUTIES: THE FOLLOWING DUTIES ARE CONSIDERED ESSENTIAL TO THE JOB. QUALIFIED INDIVIDUALS MUST HAVE THE ABILITY - WITH OR WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION - TO PERFORM THE FOLLOWING DUTIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO: 

    • Audit claims, clear legitimate deductions, submit for repays on invalid claims through broker, and follows up on any pertinent issues regarding trade promotion claims.  
    • Communicate with brokers on various issues regarding claims and back up documentation.   
    • Maintains an advanced level of knowledge on assigned territory (or territories), including the customers, the products, the volumes and the promotions, to be able to easily identify any errors and/or opportunities and to be able to offer advice on the subject.   
    • Maintains advanced level of knowledge of the TPM system and NAV system.  
    • Provides ongoing support by working on special assigned projects such as, post, audit research.  
    • Participates monthly in the AR claims meeting. Provides additional support as required.

     

    · Prepares cash application worksheets. Enters cash applications into the A/R system.  

    • Places collection calls on past due invoices.

      

    QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.     EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Four (4) years degree or related job experience is required and training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have knowledge in Trade Promotion Management System and general knowledge of Accounts Receivable.  

    LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to read and interpret documents such as trade policies and procedures. Ability to communicate effectively.  

    WRITING SKILLS: Ability to compose correspondence in a clear and concise manner. 

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages and volume. Ability to apply accounting system processes and concepts and understand promotional accrual systems.   

    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to analyze trade promotions and deal with trade audit systems.  

    COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Excel Spreadsheet software in order to format, formula calculations, pivot tables.
