  • Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Perform daily collection efforts on accounts receivable and Invacare Credit Corporation leasing company portfolio, to achieve departmental objectives. Scope of collection calls may include some or all the following portfolios:
    • Invacare open accounts receivable and/or Invacare Credit Corporation leasing portfolio
    • Canadian portfolio
    • Freedom Designs Portfolio
    • Communicate with internal/external customers to identify and resolve short payment issues.
    • Maintain account status communication with applicable Sales Representative, Regional Sales Manager and Financial Service Managers.
    • Perform credit analysis and financial risk analysis using credit reports obtained from D&B and/or company or personal financial statements.
    • Perform and analyze credit scoring for financing opportunity.
    • Authorize to approve credit line limits up to $250,000.
    • Approve and decline orders by overriding the existing credit line up to authorized limit.
    • Daily communication and coordination with Invacare subsidiaries.
    • Negotiate and review security agreements and personal guarantees.Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
    • Exhibit positivity, flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to take on new responsibilities as requested or required.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • High school diploma, required. Bachelor’s degree or some college level business courses, preferred.
    • 3-5 years of accounts receivable experience, required.
    • 3-5 years of collection experience, required.
    • SAP experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of security instruments/credit principles, preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.
    • Effective negotiating skills.
    • Self-starter, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
    • PC proficient including Microsoft office with emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
    • Proficient in using a financial calculator and 10 key calculators.
    • Familiar with working and analyzing financial statements.
    • Complete security training.

  • Qualifications
    • Computer knowledge is advised.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of gauges and measurement instrumentation.
    • Use reading and writing, adding and subtracting of whole numbers; direct reading of instruments and similar devices where interpretation is not required.
    • Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
    • Must be able to work 3rd shift consistently; a shift compensation premium will be provided.
