OVERVIEW
United Technologies Electronic Controls (UTEC) Control Box Group designs, develops and manufactures control and control panel solutions for the HVAC, refrigeration, and other OEM-related markets globally. UTEC is seeking an Intern Engineer to be based in Fort Wayne, IN. The successful candidate will work as a member of the Control Box engineering design team that develops electrical control panels, and enclosures from concept through production, including analysis of component selections and layouts to ensure a robust and cost-competitive panel design.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Project tracking assistance
Preparing shipments (customer samples, components, etc.)
Technical assistance in the lab, including hands-on building of control box samples
Assisting Control Box project engineers with customer projects
Other engineering tasks for the Control Box team include specification and drawing generation
Helping others with miscellaneous tasks as time permits
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Currently Enrolled College Student (Sophomore or higher preferred)
GPA must be greater than or equal to 3.0 GPA
U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
Relevant coursework or previous internships preferred

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
