    On our Operations Management Graduate Development Program, you’ll build relationships that get the best from our global suppliers and work with international teams to make improvements at every stage of the operations and supply chain process, whether directly with internal teams and/or suppliers or as part of our campaign to drive efficiency and effectiveness in all that we do.     The program:

    Our Graduate Development Programs are designed to give you an immersive, hands-on experience across the different areas over 24 months between four placements growing and performing in a range of competencies such as lean principles, continuous improvement, project management, problem solving, supplier strategy development and negotiations, operational management, supplier management and planning, global networking, and influential leadership. Over your placements, you’ll experience a mix of on-the-job learning, modular training, and project work. Coupled with your placements will be support from our expert team and a series of mentors and coaches.

    These various placements will expose you to different facets of the Rolls-Royce business to help enhance your skillsets and breadth within the umbrella of supply chain, to strengthen your collaboration with the diverse and dynamic teams across functions and sectors, and to hone your passion and future path within Rolls-Royce.

    What you’ll do:

    You can expect to gain a real understanding of how our supply chain works, and the roles operations management plays in driving business results, whether through tackling bottlenecks, ensuring supply meets demand or even putting new engines into production. The programs will be structured yet personalized journey to gain a strategic overview of our business and see how different teams work together to deliver on an international scale.

    Placement examples include but not limited to: Operational and strategic buyer, supplier portfolio management, quality/improvement, materials resource planning, master scheduler, and manufacturing production leader, inventory management, logistics, supply chain design, continuous improvement, project manager, data analyst, strategy analyst.

    What you’ll need:

    Ideal candidates will have strong demonstrations of initiative, critical thinking skills, problem solving knowledge and approaches, interpersonal skills, curiosity, and follow up.

    Candidates will need to be able to/have:

    • Demonstrate how to identify a problem
    • Demonstrate how to scope a task
    • Ability to be flexible and resourceful in ambiguous situations
    • Ability to collate and interpret data
    • Understanding of lean principles (continuous improvement, forms of waste)
    • Demonstrate written and oral communication to a variety of audiences (e.g., shop floor, technical experts, customers, suppliers, and management)
    • Ability to work independently without constant direct supervision
    • Demonstration of presentation skills both orally as well as visual management

    Candidates need to be flexible with relocation. While most rotations are based in Indianapolis, there are other sites that could be identified for a rotation within the U.S.

    Relevant Majors but not limited to:

    Bachelors Required

    Operations, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, International Business, Economics/Math, Business Management/Studies/Marketing, Finance, Organizational Development, and Information Science and Analytics

    Graduation eligibility: graduating between December 2023 and August 2024

    Minimum GPA: 3.0

    Preferred qualifications (but not required):

    • Strong demonstration of Microsoft Office experience preferred but not required
    • Understanding of an Enterprise Resourcing Planning (ERP) system preferred but not required
    • Prior operations, supply chain, and/or procurement internship/co-op preferred but not required
