    Civil Operations:

    The Civil Aerospace Operating Functions have responsibility for the development and support of tools, processes, and capability to enable the Businesses to deliver our commitments. The role of Planning & Control (P&C) is to ensure that all supply chains and value streams required by the business, are professionally designed, developed, planned, scheduled & governed; and that logistics is efficiently and effectively managed.

    What you’ll do:

    This role is an entry level position as an Order Controller within the Planning & Control (P&C) function with a structured 3-6 month training program to ensure we provide you with the breadth of exposure to the many facets of our manufacturing and supply chain business. During this training period, you will have a mix of on-the-job training, classroom, and virtual learning to best prepare you for understanding the product portfolio, the relationship between operations, manufacturing, and engineering, the components and parts of the engine, the internal and external customers we support, and the external suppliers we vendor and collaborate with.

    You can expect focused training balanced with practical learning on real projects. Through coaching, mentoring, and training with both our best technical and business leaders, you will develop the necessary technical and behavioral skills to leverage a toolbox of experiences, skills, and leadership for success and growth. Once training has been successfully completed, you will be transitioned to the Order Controller role.

    As the Order Controller, you will manage delivery schedules and directly report into the P&C Manager.  The core accountabilities for this role include supplier relationship management and planning delivery schedules for a given mix of suppliers.

    • By proactively identifying and working with the relevant stakeholders in addressing and resolving risks which would impact delivery and inventory performance

    • Be the first point of contact with regards to delivery for the external supply chain.  

    • Support the incorporation of new products by ensuring suppliers are executing agreed material and delivery plans

    This is a fast paced, highly visible role supporting the North American external supply chain delivering to internal customers. You must be open to traveling up to 25% of the time domestically as Covid-19 allows.

    What you’ll need:

    Ideal candidates will have strong demonstrations of interpersonal skills, curiosity, collaboration and team-oriented mindset, problem solving, critical thinking skills, and attention to detail. 

    Candidates will be able to/have:

    • Ability to relate to a wide variety of people and positions

    • Demonstrate written and oral communication, and presentation and facilitation skills to a variety of audiences (e.g. vendors, managers, employees, and customers) 

    • Understanding of supply chain management process 

    • Ability to manage and drive multiple goals with varying deadlines

    • Demonstrate a mindset for continuous improvement (possibilities for value-add solutions)

    • Demonstrate computer literacy (MS Suite)

    Majors:

    • Logistics/Supply Chain

    • Industrial systems background/experience

    • Business Related Degree

    Degree Levels

    • Associate degree +1 year of related experience

    • Bachelor's degree

    Graduation eligibility:

    • This role will start summer 2022. Have graduated between May 2020 and August 2022.

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Prior logistics/supply chain or business management internship/co-op or experience but not required

    • Prior understanding of project management/planning techniques and approaches but not required

    • Prior experience with internal and external relationship management but not required
