POSITION SUMMARY Assist with the documentation, testing and implementation of projects as assigned. Provide technical support as directed. Assist with problem determination. Keep Help Desk advised of problem status and resolution. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Follow defined processes to prepare periodic and ad hoc metrics and system health reports - Support other team members in the areas of: - Windows and Linux server installations, configurations, and decommissions - Windows and Linux server vulnerability analysis and remediation (patching) - License management, monitoring, and reporting - Virtualization environment administration - Configuration and asset management - Plan and schedule work activities to complete assignments in their order of priority and to make the most effective use of time - Communicate effectively - Contribute to a favorable working climate through a friendly manner and cooperative attitude in dealing with other employees and customers - Follow established departmental and other required procedures - Willingly assist others as necessary to meet deadlines - Understand fully the requirements of our jobs and the systems that support us - Fulfill these requirements in a timely manner - Other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Student in a Sophomore standing or greater working towards a Bachelors degree in a computer-related program throughout the entire duration of the internship. - Graduation date after December 2019. - This is a YEAR-ROUND internship; individual must be willing to commute or relocate to Oshkosh, WI to be considered. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. - Experience and aptitude with Microsoft Windows and/or Linux operating systems at an intermediate to advanced user (not administrative) level - Experience with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel - Customer service or support experience Oshkosh Corporation is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
