  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    Responsible for all steel material transactions and inventory in compliance with corporate mission, values, and departmental financial objectives.

    $23-$28 per hour

    Essential Functions

    • Receive, transact, and inventory all steel material

    • Perform regular cycle counts

    • Conduct annual audited inventory

    • Coordinate with transportation and rail companies to verify location and arrival of material

    • Communicate with other plants to ensure the accuracy of inventory transactions between plants

    • Administer material receipts entry and distribution of identification stickers

    • Maintain MTR files in both paper and electronic form

    • Cross-train with issuing department to assist as necessary

    • Coordinate with Issuing, Purchasing, Accounting, and Project Management to ensure proper job tracking

    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in an effective manner with customers, coworkers, clients, and supervisors

    • Work in a safe and conscientious manner

    • Perform other job duties as assigned by supervisor

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite

    • 0-3 years experience

    • Strong analytical skills, ability to troubleshoot for problem resolution

    • Ability to work independently without direct supervision and as a team member

    • Read and speak English

    • Experience in structural steel operations (preferred)

    • HS Diploma (preferred)

    Work Environment

    General office and constant exposure to computer display. Canam Bridges is a steel manufacturing environment with constant exposure to a shop environment with high levels of noise, dust, dirt, and extreme weather.
