Requisition Summary Peterbilt Motors Company, a PACCAR Company, has an opening for a Data Analyst Intern to add to our IT Team in Denton, Texas for Spring 2019. Job Functions / Responsibilities This position will focus on a variety of projects and reports including: Extract, clean, merge, transform and compile data from various data sources, including relational database, flat files, NoSQL databases and unstructured data Develop new process improvements to increase the speed, accuracy and efficiency of our work Provide accurate, relevant and meaningful ad-hoc analysis to management to support strategic and tactical decision-making Create and present materials on data projects Manage Azure/AWS Cloud services Create easy to understand and navigate visualizations on complex data sets using Tableau Qualifications Required Qualifications: Pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Business or related field Experience with, or understanding of, statistical techniques, modelling, and machine learning Experience with, or understanding of, programming (R, Python, Java, or C#) Substantive experience working with structured and unstructured data, including relational databases (SQL Server), flat files (CSV), markup (XML, JSON), NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and unstructured data Must be a highly-motivated self-starter and self-directed learner with a creative mind, high attention to detail and a solution-oriented outlook Candidate must demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent general business acumen, with the ability to concisely and clearly communicate complex topics Ability to maintain balance between solid pragmatism and scientific rigor to meet the needs of a dynamic business Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite Experience managing Azure/AWS Cloud based solutions and IoT/Big Data analytics Experience creating top quality Tableau dashboards Education The candidate we seek will be recently graduated or currently enrolled in an IT, Business, or related program and have completed their Sophomore year of college.
