Dynacraft performs assembly, light manufacturing and distribution for PACCAR truck plants and the aftermarket. Requisition Summary An internship at Dynacraft, A PACCAR Company provides students with an opportunity to gain real world experience through a work assignment in the design engineering department. As an engineering intern, you will provide support to our design engineers while expanding your engineering skillset through projects and assignments. Job Functions / Responsibilities -Provide support to the design engineering team. -Utilize Pro/Engineer to design and evaluate proposals. -Create models and release drawings. -Identify cost reduction opportunities. -Determine root cause and drive corrective actions. -Perform testing and record results. -Contact suppliers for pricing and part information. -Become familiar with Dynacraft's manufacturing processes. -Create supporting documentation for current projects and organize files. Qualifications -Must be currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering program and must have completed at least two years of college towards their degree. -Automotive experience/interest is desired. -Proficient in Microsoft Office. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Ability to multi-task. -Resourceful and a self-starter. -Strong professionalism. -Analytical thinking. -Sense of urgency. Skills / Competencies -Demonstrated PC skills. -Automotive experience or interest strongly desired. -Excellent technical, verbal, written and presentation skills. -Ability to work in a self-directed environment is preferred. -Knowledge of Creo preferred. Education Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program with a mechanical engineering degree focus. Minimum qualifications include completion of sophomore year in an engineering program leading to a bachelors degree.
