Description GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Work with Manufacture Engineers, Quality Engineers and Shop staff to create new Detailed Inspection Reports (DIR) Paperless collection plans. * Create and utilize various work instructions and graphics within the DIR templates. * Maintain high productivity while producing quality DIRs. * Make corrections as required to maintain quality and meet company goals. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED DURING INTERNSHIP * With minimal supervision create Paperless DIR templates. * Read and understand all types of drawings required to machine parts such as castings, forgings, detailed engineering sketches, Military specs. * Use shop math to calculate nominals and accurately input upper and lower tolerances. * Create screen captures of various documents and link to DIR templates. * Prove out new Paperless DIRs to insure links and data collection is performing to expectations. * Maintains all paperwork associated with producing the DIRs and maintaining company records. * Maintain high productivity to keep pace with daily goals. * Promptly report all issues or obstacles preventing achievement of daily goals to supervisor. Qualifications EDUCATION/PRIOR EXPERIENCE * Fluent in blueprint reading. (Title Blocks, Nominals, Tolerances, Finishes, Concentricity, Perpendicularity.) * Good working knowledge of shop math (Decimals, Fractions, Degrees). * Basic Microsoft Office skills. (Microsoft Excel, Word, Paint) * Basic computer skills. (Navigate file locations) * Graphics skill.
