Essential Functions Position Summary: Assures Lean structure, methodologies and processes are implemented throughout a Parker Service Center (PSC), implemented through High Performance Teams (HPTs) Organizes and facilitates associates in value stream mapping, team problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all value streams. PSC value streams may include the warehouse, customer service, kit/assembly, and hose assembly manufacturing. Collaborates with groups outside the PSC organization to achieve goals Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis Scope/Supervision and Interaction: Position reports to the PSC Manager. May also have reporting accountability to Value Stream Managers Essential Functions: Leads and guides Lean initiatives within a PSC. Collaborates with groups outside the PSC to achieve goals, including Parker Manufacturing Divisions, Support Teams such as IT, and customers and Sales Teams. Assists in the development of a local PSC Lean Strategy. Ensures that the site organizational structure has been reviewed and that resources are aligned for the Lean Transformation, Employs methodologies include Value Steam Mapping, Team Problem Solving, Cellular Assembly/Mfg, Kanban Pull Systems, Quick Changeover, design for lean, one piece flow, inventory reduction, site tracking centers etc. Empowers every employee in the PSC through positive reinforcement of Lean and High Performance Teams (HPTs) Provides effective change management, leadership, and optimization in implementing the corporate strategy across the PSC. Applies data analysis skills to support the PSCs Lean development and team problem solving. Applies standard problem solving methodologies. Supports coaching and teaching of lean principles, Leads a Continuous Learning environment. Responsibilities Qualifications: 4 year degree required. Manufacturing, Industrial or Process Engineering, or Supply Chain degree, preferred. 1-3 years experience in manufacturing, warehouse or customer service, demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality. Solid understanding and experience in applying Lean principles such as Value Stream Transformation (Mapping), Just-in-Time, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, Five S's, Visual Management, Expertise in applying Team Problem Solving processes and tools. Strong data analysis skills, with ability to use common tools such as Excel. Strong Project Management skills. Has participated in numerous lean events, particularly in Warehousing operations, Customer Service, and/or manufacturing. Good understanding of financial measurements and goals Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
