Essential Functions Position Summary: To advocate and support the Corporate WIN Strategy by determining, developing and monitoring production processes for supply chain operations consistent with team objectives of continuous improvement, standardized work, and productivity improvement. Essential Functions: Investigate Supply Chain difficulties and determine corrective action procedures. Develop new processes, standardized work, and work instructions for better supply chain flow. Pursue continuous improvement in value stream through utilization of lean manufacturing Six Sigma tools and methodology. Work with Divisional Supply Chain to improve process flow and communication constraints. Project approximately 6-8 months Qualifications Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and meet the necessary requirements as listed below. The incumbent must have the ability work on and solve a variety of problems of diverse scope and complexity in imaginative and practical ways and evaluate alternative solutions that may require coordination across multiple teams. The incumbent must have ability to establish goals and objectives to complete projects, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Actively pursuing a Degree in Engineering or Supply Chain and working knowledge of Microsoft Office required. Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision. Prefer experience with, Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, project management, and quality systems. Must have ability to deal with people at a cross-functional level. Position requires ability to effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to inquiries from employees, customers, and suppliers. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to speak, hear, stand, walk and sit. The employee must occasionally be able to reach, kneel or bend. Specific vision requirements include close vision, ability to focus, and depth perception. Possible fatigue factors would include long periods of standing on concrete floors. This position is exposed to moving equipment, chemicals, oils, dirt, fumes, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. This position may require occasional travel.
