    Material Handler Location US-NV-Reno # Positions 1 Experience (Years) 0 Category Logistics / Transportation Position Description At a Glance Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join the Server Technology team in Reno, Nevada. The Material Handler will perform Kitting, Receiving, and Inventory Control duties. This position ensures that all assigned duties are performed quickly, efficiently and according to the established departmental and company policies, procedures and goals. What Will You Do? Complete pick and kit production orders per work ticket instructions. Ensure daily department production objectives are met. Receive, label, identify, and put away incoming product. Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand. Perform daily cycle counts to ensure accuracy of product inventory in accordance with department standards. Follow proper procedures for storage and handling of inventory; verify incoming materials for accuracy; label and identify materials; consolidate storage locations; put away inventory released from QCI and Receiving. Follow proper shipping procedures to process orders through IMS; accurately enter customer shipment data. Prepare orders for shipment by palletize, corner, band, and wrap pallet shipments; package materials as necessary to complete order including boxing and palletizing. Ensure picking accuracy by following proper techniques and providing assistance to employees; deliver kits to production in a timely and efficient manner. Complete related paper work and reports in an accurate and timely manner, utilizing computer software and general office procedures. Pull inventory requests when needed; issue/transfer inventory in system as necessary; deliver materials to the appropriate person/location. Put away inventory released from QCI and Receiving; stock KANBAN daily. Process RMAs; complete receiver for RMAs; disassemble products and re-box products as directed; return grade 1 materials to inventory using return miscellaneous material system. As needed, operate forklift and pallet jack. Perform work in a safe manner. Report repairs or safety concerns to management. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Skills Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Experience: Minimum of 6 months warehouse and inventory control experience, preferred. Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: Forklift certification and previous experience operating a pallet jack, preferred. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Effective communication skills with the ability to provide information across multiple groups in the Company. Strong organizational and planning skills and the ability to work independently. Computer proficiency with knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word/Excel/Outlook), preferred.
