    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY

    To help manage all forms of financial accounts within an organization. Accounting specialists keep accurate records of both accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring that invoices are paid where necessary, and that clients pay invoices as required.

    GENERAL EXPECTATIONS

    • Understand & follow company Safety policies and use of proper PPE.

    • Follow company Quality policy, procedures, and proper documentation process.

    • Practice good housekeeping based on 5S principles.

    • Report to work every day, on time, and ready to work.

    1. Responsible for general ledger and account reconciliation.

    2. Provide audit support for financial audits.

    3. Provide support for AP and AR as needed.

    4. Compiling monthly reports and Bank reconciliation.

    5. Maintaining all prepaid and accruals accounts.

    6. Assist with weekly and monthly bank reports.

    7. Intercompany transactions and balancing.

    8. Consolidating monthly Financial Statements.

    9. Fixed Asset Booking and Depreciation Schedule.

    10. Closing journal entries and monthly close process.

    11. Compute monthly sales tax and 1099’s.

    12. Inventory Costing Review.

    13. Communicating with vendors, branch people, and other people to answer questions, resolve invoice discrepancies, and or obtain missing documents.

    14. Ensuring proper approvals are in place for all documentation and submissions.

    15. Assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.

    • Minimum 4-5 years in an accounting office with increased responsibilities. KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ ABILITIES:

    • Must be skilled in using computer-based accounting systems.

    • Prior experience with ERP software desired.

    • Must be proficient with Excel and Word.

    • General ledger and journal entry knowledge required

    • General business knowledge.

    • Must be able to interact effectively and cooperatively with employees at all levels.

    • Strong ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize daily duties.

    • Data Analysis.

    • Punctual and sensitive to deadlines.

    • Excellent communication skills, administrative writing ability, articulate phone skills. •
