    Territory Account Representative, Food & Beverage Markets Midwestern USA Job Description: Pentair currently has an opening for a technical sales professional to join our Filtration Solutions business as a Territory Account Representative while focusing on Food & Beverage clients in the Great Lakes USA region. In this role, the Territory Account Representative will be actively-sought to increase revenues and profitability by properly servicing existing accounts as well as pursuing new clients. This person well be expected to work closely with end users, distributors, OEMs and integrators in their territory in order to drive key account sales growth plans for major end users (to attain revenue and operating income objectives) as well as directing the sales development of their assigned region. This person will also work closely with marketing to help develop the tools needed to effectively promote the brand, products, and image of Pentair; this person will also be expected to contribute to the promotion, organization, and guidance of sales policies & practices in an efficient manner to maximize market penetration of products. This critical role will be based out of the Midwestern USA region (preferably in the Milwaukee, WI area; we will also consider candidates from alternative locations within this region as well). You will: * Achieve (or surpass) sales quota in assigned region. * Understand customer organizations business, hierarchy, and needs. * Establish annual account plans (i.e. sales objectives, tactics, responsibility, and timing). * Support global account coordination. * Develop / maintain a strong relationship built on mutual trust, respect, and cooperation with direct customers as well as other channel partners, distribution management, and strategic accounts. * Recommend the careful selection and/or removal of all sales organization and distributors in defined regions to ensure quality and efficient staffing of all sales territories. * Review organization and distributors sales performance on a regular basis. * Meet with sales organization, distributors, and customers on a regular basis to keep them informed about products, product lines, and production capabilities. * Assist distributors, direct accounts, and other channel partners with product promotion. * Attend trade shows, and assist in the selection and preparation of samples and promotional materials. * Coordinate sales activities, which includes communicating customer product requirements with other departments such as Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Materials. * Resolve problems from the field that require special handling. * Keep Sales leadership informed on important matters that require immediate action or attention. * Respond quickly and efficiently to all sales leads generated by Pentair. * Provide answers to customer inquiries concerning products and pricing. * Maximize the potential for conversion of leads to sales. * Ensure accurate reporting & accounting of Sales leads assigned through proper use of daily recaps and ongoing reporting. * Be asked to take on additional responsibilities, as needed. You should: * Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree (e.g. B.A., B.S., etc.). * Have at least 3 years of professional experience in Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and/or Marketing. We like, but dont require: * Completion of technical coursework; Bachelors degree in an Engineering-oriented field of study (e.g. BSME) is a plus. * Proven experience working with light-industrial clients (e.g. Life Science, Pharmaceutical, and/or Food & Beverage); experience working with Brewery and/or Dairy clients is a plus. * Professional experience working with complex mechanical solutions (e.g. processing equipment, filtration systems, etc.); experience working with hygienic systems and/or sanitary components (e.g. 3A-Certified Valves, etc.) is a plus. * A proven sales track record demonstrating channel-partner management, strategic account partnership, and new business development skills. * A proven track record of successfully managing commercial relationships with Distributors, Integrators, and/or OEM [Original Equipment Manufacturer] clients. * Experience demonstrating advanced negotiation skills. * Previous experience with formal client-facing and technical field demonstrations, especially with 50%+ on-the-job travel. * Advanced ability to use relevant software programs (e.g. MS Office, Salesforce CRM, etc.). * A proven track record demonstrating a team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
