WHAT WILL I DO?

The Pfizer Consulting & Execution (PCE) Summer Associate will be part of a team supporting critical projects and programs of varying complexity and scope across Pfizer's business units and divisions. The Summer Associate will provide internal operational consulting services to our clients. The PCE Summer Associate will most often work on a team of both PCE and BU colleagues collaborating to deliver on projects per the established timelines.

By bringing strong business analysis and effective project management practices, the PCE Summer Associate will help to support the success of a broad variety of initiatives and projects. Typical projects include operational transformations such as running analysis in support of business recommendations, restructuring components of the business, building new capabilities, increasing business efficiency efforts, re-designing or improving complex processes or working on program management efforts for global projects. Projects may be global or regional in nature and often involve multiple divisions and/or business units.

The colleague provides project and program management support and manages day-to-day execution of the project from planning through completion of the implementation. The activities include developing a project plan, conducting interviews, facilitating workshops, collecting and analyzing data, developing solutions, and daily management of a project. The colleague must maintain a business perspective and orientation and quickly learn the content while providing process and project management expertise. The colleague also needs to cultivate and maintain relationships across executives and internal stakeholders within the business units and other divisions to drive business critical solutions.

WHAT DO I NEED?

The PCE Summer Associate will need to be highly proactive, work collaboratively with other groups, have strong attention to detail along with written, verbal and listening skills, presentation skills, teaming, facilitation, mental agility, and relationship building skills. Also the colleague will need to have a demonstrated understanding of the business.

Candidates should have experience in

• Managing multiple projects and/or programs (i.e., collection of sub-projects) and business analysis
• Aligning stakeholders, facilitating conflict, and communicating information in a way that enables leaders to have transparency on the underlying issues and potential solutions in varying settings including workshops, small group sessions or one-on-one meetings
• Operations consulting methodologies and frameworks

Candidates must be enrolled in a full time MBA program and possess an undergraduate degree with 3 years consulting experience at a management consulting firm or an internal consulting role.
