    Phoseon Technology, an Excelitas Technologies company, is the world leader in Ultraviolet (UV) LED industrial curing. We are currently looking for a full-time Manufacturing Engineering Technician to your our Manufacturing Engineering team.

    The Manufacturing Engineer Technician role is a critical role within the Manufacturing Engineering Department. In this role you will be a key member of our Manufacturing Operations staff and will be heavily engaged with electronical and mechanical troubleshooting as well as being team member in projects designed to improve the quality, throughput, yields via continuous improvement projects. This role will require significant time on the manufacturing floor, working directly with Production Technicians to understand complex problems. You must be a self-motivated team player, an effective communicator, and able to resolve complex issues.

    Responsibilities:

    • Troubleshoots product that have been placed on hold and need Manufacturing Engineering dispositioning
    • Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer’s instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
    • Works directly with Manufacturing Engineering in understand root cause to provide recommendations for improvement.
    • Team member on large continuous improvement projects that are run by Manufacturing Engineers
    • Manages small continuous improvement projects aimed to provide safety, quality, yield, or throughput improvements.
    • Modify manufacturing processes and documentation for both new and established products by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and processes.
    • Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

    Education and experience required:

    • 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing environments
    • Background in electronics manufacturing or electronics
    • Demonstrated ability to provide technical and process leadership to Production team members
    • Experience with electronics
    • Ability to generate, follow and explain detailed proposals and operating procedures (i.e. assembly instruction, inspection procedures and capitol project proposals)
    • Demonstrated ability to work within a cross-functional environment, exhibiting excellent interpersonal and communication skill Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States
