Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of the General Machine Operator 1 are to operate a minimum of 2 key machines in the production process. Responsibilities are primarily general machine operation, troubleshooting, and daily maintenance. This position will clean and prepare work area and machine for next workday or shift at the end of shift. Responsibilities include:

• Ability to, safely and with high quality, operate 2 key work cells/machines within area * Train trainees and agency employees * Basic set-up work cell/machines with little to no assistance * Troubleshoot and correct minor machine defaults * Run and review 1st article * Audit quality for operations on each side of running machine * Audit work instruction is being followed * Able to run work centers at the stated production throughput Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1+ year experience in a progressive, high-volume manufacturing environment * Advanced math and reading skills * Ability to multi-task * Developed interpersonal and communication skills * Strong organization skills combined with the ability to determine root cause, containment and corrective actions Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
