Job: Design, build, rework, maintain, repair and trouble shoot all forms of tooling including dies, tools, gauges, fixtures and molds. Advancement opportunity; based on job performance. Qualifications: 5-7 years of practical experience and training as a Tool & Die Maker, preferably wax injection molds Must pass a math, reading comprehension and measurements test (i.e. calipers and micrometers) Able to perform math calculations; algebra, trigonometry, plane and solid geometry Computer skills: Basic Excel spreadsheets, pivot tables, V-look-ups, data entry, machinery programming. Regularly required to communicate and interact in a civil and professional manner. Legible handwriting. Able to solve tooling design, rework and wax press operation. Understands tooling automation methods Positive Can-Do attitude; a team player; able to communicate well with others, and to train others. Works well with others and communicates effectively in a very diverse workforce Focus on safety, results, timely completion, quality and accuracy; Attention to detail precision-oriented Requiring excellent hand-eye coordination, fine finger dexterity, skills with hand tools, related machinery Blue print reading and interpretation, dimensional measuring tools, CMM, CAD/CAM programs Able to work from design prints, sketches, sample parts, verbal and digital instructions. Able to lift, carry, push, pull 15-25# frequently, 25-80# on occasion Frequent sitting, standing; walking on uneven surfaces; climbing stairs; occasional exposure to sunshine Production environment; exposure to hot/cold, fumes, dust, chemicals, allergens, moving parts, noise. Description of the Work; science, math, artistry and craftsmanship This position is a crucial role; our first name is Precision and we manufacture metal parts; unless it is precise at every stage, our quality standards and that of our customers would not be met. If not for our satisfied customers, we would not exist. Parts begin as hand-crafted wax injection into highly engineered tools that you make. Parts then progress into investment casting; molten metal in our foundry. Once parts are surgically removed from the ceramic shell and support structure, they are finished, refined and prepared for final quality testing.
