The co-op will gain exposure and participate in HR activities, benefits administration, project management and talent acquisition. Working in a plant atmosphere will provide the HR co-op with exposure to a broad range of HR including Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting and Training. Reporting Relationships: The HR Intern will report to the Human Resource Manager. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: -Promote and support employee engagement efforts -Assist with new hire onboarding tasks. Running background checks and keeping track of completion of pre-employment checks. -Learn fundamental elements of ADP/ Employee Management system. -Assist with Payroll and daily timekeeping tasks. -Contribute to projects and assignments in the HR Department. -Assist with Compliance Training and building a training tracker for the facility. -Assist with department administration. -Other projects as assigned. Required Skills: -Positive attitude -Attention to detail -Ability to learn and develop skillset -Excellent written and oral communication skills -Excellent time management skills with the ability to complete projects on-time and handle ad-hoc assignments -Ability to maintain confidentiality -Ability to work 20+ hours/week Experience & Education Pursuing an undergraduate or Masters degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field.
