In this Operations Engineer role, you will be responsible for developing & implementing optimal and cost-effective manufacturing solutions on existing process lines for increased safety, productivity, quality and mistake proofing. You will collaborate with the Operations Development Team to enhance processes across the plants.
• You will use your knowledge of sound engineering principles for implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures • Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing manufacturing equipment and processes. • Utilize your Six Sigma, LEAN and other best practice tools and principles to facilitate effective problem solving and continuous improvement. • Provide process technical support including but not limited to; investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment and addressing operator inquiries as directed by GM of Operations Development. • Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes. • Prepares specifications for equipment and installation specifications along with layout and design drawings as required. • Able to facilitate capital projects. • Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup evaluation of new equipment or equipment changes • Review project and work status with Operations Development Team • Manage manufacturing documentation required for process changes including work instructions, standards and process procedures • Utilize company core values in daily work: Pride and Passion, Innovation, Integrity, Quality and Customer Focus.
Qualifications
Your BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or extensive maintenance management experience along with 5 years minimum experience working in processes & operations make you a great fit for this role. In addition, you should have the following knowledge, skills & abilities:
• Excellent hardware and software applications knowledge • Product and operations knowledge • Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT • Thorough and organized • Confident and steady under pressure
