WORKING AS ONE OF OUR ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALISTS, YOU CAN EXPECT THE FOLLOWING:
- Process vendor invoices and verify receipts, supporting documentation, approvals, and GL coding
- Complete weekly check run and process special payment check requests
- Ensure invoices are entered timely and paid per vendor payment terms
- Match invoices to checks, obtain check signatures timely, and distribute checks appropriately
- Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
- Reconcile credit card statements and assist with month-end accruals
- Reconcile vendor statements and research and address discrepancies as necessary
- Maintain positive working relationships with vendors via phone and email communications
- Develop and maintain business relationships with your (really awesome) coworkers within Prisma
- Provide input on forming Prisma accounting best practices (we LOVE collaboration and input!)
- Help us build a stronger company. Every single day.
- Other duties as assigned.
ENOUGH ABOUT US! CANDIDATE’S QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
- 1-5 years accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
- Experience working in the printing industry preferred
- Must have strong computer skills, including experience working with Excel and web-based systems
- Must have a strong work ethic, a professional attitude, and be reliable
- Must have exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Must be well organized and a self-starter
- Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must possess high attention to detail and be a proven multi-tasker
- Must operate with a sense of urgency without sacrificing accuracy
