  • Responsibilities

    Job Summary

    The Product Certification Administrator primary job responsibility is to assure widespread and timely Department of Transportation (DOT) submittals and approvals are obtained and maintained on new and existing products. This includes managing ASTM compliance on new and existing products.

    Essential Functions

    DOT related Product Approvals (60% TIME)

    • Work independently with marketing, sales and North America Department of Transportations (DOT) to submit, obtain and maintain product (admixture) approvals on new and existing products.
    • Work internally to verify and audit new product specifications are accurate and robust
    • Develop and maintain DOT product submittal and approval related Excel databases
    • Develop strong relationships with key influencers in the various DOT’s
    • Monitor and communicate competitive environment related to DOT activities

    ASTM and other Regulatory Approvals (30% TIME)

    • Obtain and renew product certifications with AASHTO, ASTM, NTPEP, NSF, ICC and UL.
    • Develop and maintain databases for regulatory product submittals and approvals.
    • Develop strong relationships with key regulatory personnel and represent the company in various regulatory meetings.

    Support Product/Marketing Mgmt related activities (10% TIME)

    • Work on special projects requested by Product/Marketing Mgmt.
    • Assist in maintaining marketing technical publications (data sheets, technical and engineering bulletins, project profiles, case studies)
    • Respond to miscellaneous technical requests from internal and external customers

    Other (10% TIME)

    • Participate in internal business meetings, trade organizations and conventions as needed.
    • Comply with all company policies, instructions and directives.
    • Work in a safe manner in accordance with company policy.

    Required Qualifications

    Education Level

    Required/Preferred

    • Associate’s degree
    • Business and Management or any relevant

    Preferred

    • HS or GDE

    Experience

    Required/Preferred

    • Up to 5 years technical or business environment

    Required

    • 2-3 years concrete construction industry and/or chemical admixtures

    Other Knowledge and Ability (Knowledge of coding languages, interpersonal skills, etc.)

    • Excellent overall verbal and written communication skills

    • Must be confident and assertive when dealing with regulatory agencies and external customers
