    POSITION SUMMARY:

    • Support the strategies of the Urethane PDG with product development.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    • Support development of new equipment for new product offerings.
    • Collaborate in the creation of capital plans, specific capital projects, and participate in strategic planning processes.
    • Specialize in belt and sprocket profile design.
    • Support the development of new and innovative products and constructions.
    • Work with contractors and fabricators on fabrication of new equipment.
    • Support existing processes with continuous improvement and optimization.

  • Qualifications

    EXPERIENCE:  _To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. _

    • 1-3 years of product design experience.

     

    EDUCATION: 

    • Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters Degree preferred.

     

     

    REQUIRED SKILLS:   

    • Good interpersonal and communication skills.

    • Demonstrated understanding of regulatory environments.

    • Highest values on safety in personal work practices and consideration in design of equipment.

    • Strong experience with AutoCad, SolidWorks, etc.

    • A preference to hands on work style.

    • A sound understanding of mechanical principles relative to structure, safety, and design.

     

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

     

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:
