    Job Description

    ** Role summary**

    Single point of contact for all financial issues relating to the project. Provides all required financial information about the total project, assessment and identification of risks and opportunities early with measurement of the financial impact. Proactively follow and challenge the project cash flow. Co-pilot to the Project Manager to assure focus on the achievement of the financial goals of the project.

    ** Responsibilities and Mandate**

    Functional duties to the Project Core Team

    • Make financial situation transparent to the Project Core Team, including current status and alternative scenarios.
    • Build up and up-date the project Estimate At Completion (EAC) as joint effort together with the Core Team members. Ensure EAC reliability and support PM in EAC bridge-gap analysis.
    • Project calculation (ensure that project calculations reflect current status of project, EAC change proposed and approved).
    • Input and updating of project calculations aligned in Oracle.
    • Working out and updating Budget and Forecast figures of the project.
    • Review and Analysis of Estimated-at-completion calculation of the project for Budget, Forecast and Actual
    • Review and Analysis of variances between Budget, Forecast and Actual figures and comment on them in monthly Reporting – especially Sales POC, Margin and Free Cash flow
    • Review and Analysis of contract related Balance sheet items with the target of a minimization of Utilized Assets (Inventory level, Advance Payments, Accounts Receivables…)
    • Invoice and payment control (Receivables)
    • Cash-Flow Management (i.e. input of project figures in Cash Planner)
    • Hedging activities in cooperation with Treasury (if necessary) (FX Planner)
    • Track project related savings activities
    • Control of Warranty Provisions to the end of the project
    • Insurance cases (freight, maintenance, third party, etc.)
    • Require and supervise securities by the Customer (letter of credit, bank guarantees)
    • Coordinate commercial affairs of internal partners, i.e. check of inter-company Sales and Purchases (Siscos matching)
    • Provide input parameters for Bid Approval Process and support tender activities for variation orders
    • All costs related to headcount have to be reviewed in cooperation with HR and Core
    • Team members controlling direct and indirect hours and the impact on the project considering project target costs
    • Procurement / Engineering: Quantify impact of change orders (profitability calculation), assess impact on the different cost items in the calculation, i.e. Bill of Material and Engineering hours
    • Maintain an appropriate level of contingencies
    • Provide Project Non Conformity Cost (NCC) Report, validate impact of NCC improvements (retrofits)

    ** Job Requirements:**

    • Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited college/university.
    • Minimum 2 years experience and understanding of complex project manufacturing including:
      • Ability to understand and apply long term contract accounting.
      • Revenue recognition.
      • Understanding of Buy America regulations and certification process.
      • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills to interface with a broad range of audiences.
      • Strong communication skills (will have to work with cross-functional Project Core Teams).
    • ** Software** : * Strong / Advanced Excel working knowledge and skills (i.e. Pivot tables, Macros, etc.) * Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools: Excel, MSWord, Power Point, Outlook * Strong / Advanced working knowledge of Oracle (a plus & highly recommended)

    Leadership duties within the Project Core Team

    • Lead Project Core Team members in meeting or improving on project budgets
    • Commercial Reporting – Timely completion and updating finance related charts of the monthly reports/packages

    Specific responsibilities to other Project Core Team roles

    • To the Contract Manager: Provide support
    • To the Risk & Opportunities Manager: Support Risk, Opportunity and Improvement
    • Manager by quantifying/assessing project-related risks/exposures/opportunities on an ongoing basis
    • To the Project Manager: Keep Project Manager continuously updated on financial situation of project and upcoming risks & opportunities.

    Relocation lump sum may be provided if you meet eligibility guidelines

The salary rate for this role is currently $68900-98200 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
