Responsibilities
• Provides sound engineering principles for the implementation of new manufacturing equipment, processes and procedures.
• Studies & recommends techniques to improve existing equipment and processes.
• Coordinates design activities and installations with other departments.
• Provide process line technical support including, but not limited to, investigating improvement opportunities, troubleshooting equipment, and addressing operator inquiries as requested.
• Complete engineering calculations to validate implementation of new equipment or processes.
• Represents engineering department on cross functional teams.
• Prepares specifications for equipment and installation and secures bids from suppliers & contractors.
• Analyzes equipment and contractor installation specifications.
• Prepares layout & design drawings as required.
• Requisitions material and equipment for capital projects.
• Plans, schedules and supervises construction activities and participates in startup and evaluation of new equipment.
• Prepares progress reports on capital projects.
• Maintains engineering documentation including project files, datasheets, drawings, schematics, and revisions.
Qualifications
Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering degree.
• 5+ years experience in process or manufacturing engineering.
• Process and operations knowledge.
• Excellent computer hardware and software applications knowledge
• Data driven decision making; Effective use of process automation tools and IT
• Thorough & organized
• Confident and steady under pressure
• Manufacturing Methods and Procedure
Must be able to travel up to 25% and be available to travel significantly while on larger projects.
